Keena and I were able to go to a jewelry show in Nashville, Tennesee. It was a first for both of us and can i just say what an experience it was. I think this picture about sums it up.
Ok not really...
We stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and HOLY COW! I can't even explain it. Vegas comes close. Here is Keena and I on our balcony overlooking an indoor garden and waterfall.
Nashville is all about the music. We went and walked down Broadway Street and can I just say the music was rocking! Every door was open with live music being played. It was awesome! I'm not much for the bar scene but give me some great live music and I'm there!

I don't think you can go to Nashville and NOT go to the Grand Ole Opry. I had no idea what it was and was pleasantly surprised by the music. We were ushered in to church style pews and were listening to good ole classic country at first. Mandolins, fiddles, guitars it was amazing and I'm not one for country. We were able to see Casey James who I guess was on last season of American Idol. He was really good. Diamond Rio was the last act and they were just great! You could tell they were comfortable up on stage. Did you know the Opry is broadcasted live on the radio? I sure didn't and so after each set we got to listen to a classy guy in a suit with a great radio voice read his commercials from the sponser. So bizarre! It was a fun experience!
The best band we saw was Tin Cup Gypsy which were performing in a Irish Pub that we decided to eat at on our first night there. The food was Delicious and the entertainment was phenom! I even bought their CD (which I don't do ever!)
We were able to get a closer look at Nashville on a Segway tour that Aunt Nan talked us into. I had never ridden a Segway and boy was I nervous!! It isn't hard but I was nervous the whole time worried my little Segway would either buck me off or drive away with me unable to stop. Thankfully nothing like that happened.
We also had a lot of fun at the show but this trip was all about the music! Good times!
