Christmas Recap

We were very blessed this Christmas! On Christmas Eve we went down to my parent's house and had a wonderful dinner of lasagna and then off for a mad game of Bingo!

We played White Elephant along with the Bingo and had quite the array of gifts. Lick & Stick Gummi Bandaids, Ice Box w/candy canes inside, who knows how old sparkling grape juice,cookie cutters, and...a fur muff!

After the game we sat down to watch the annual McArthur DVD. It was mighty fine if I do say so myself (only because I made it). We laughed and reminisced on all the wonderful things we did this year. I really am so blessed to have the family I have and to share in some wonderful activities with them.

We were able to get home and put out cookies for Santa and reindeer food out on the grass. The kids were asleep by 10 pm and Nick and I were finally in bed around 12. Around 1:30 Nick stirs and then sits up right and says "Drew!". That woke me with a start and I get out of bed to apprehend the boy who is taking a peek at Santa. I walk into my kitchen to find Drew pants down ready to pee in my kitchen drawer! Poor kid was sleep walking and so I walked him to the bathroom and then back to bed without a word. Funny kid.

6:30am Liv is cooing and Ryan is basically jumping on my bed telling me Santa came! We all roll out of bed and open gifts and are done by 7. Santa brought Ryan his Legos

We went over the the Larson's at 10 and had another exciting gift exchange. Around 3 we went to the McArthur's and had another wonderful exchange. My kids are so spoiled!
We went to see Fantastic Mr. Fox with the cousins and Grandma and Grandpa McArthur and Aunt Keena and I have to say I laughed almost the entire time. It was so funny! After the movie ended we headed home and the kids were in bed by 930 so needless to say it was a LONG but wonderful day!

Date Night

My lovely sisters Malea and Keena made it possible so Nick and I could have a date night! It was AMAZING in my opinion but Nick says next time it has to be his music.

My cousin Colby was getting married in Las Vegas yesterday and so it was a great excuse to go to a Killers concert that night! The wedding was nice with a reception after. We skipped out on dinner since we also had to visit Nick's brother who also lives in Vegas.

After meeting with the family we were off to do a little shopping before the concert. We hit up the Outdoor Premium Outlets. I loved seeing all the shops and it made me want to get my rear in gear with my weight loss.

We were off to Mandalay Bay where the concert was being held. I love that casino...it takes me back to my youth seeing a concert and then wishing I were 21 so that I could go to Rum Jungle Nightclub which now seems totally lame. I guess that's what growing up and actually being able to do things does to you.

The opening acts were Halloween Town (they were awful not even worth posting about) and the AMAZING Phoenix! They were amazing! Look up their music and then if you ever have the chance to see them live, do it! The drummer was insane! It almost seemed like he was banging the drums with his head. The funny thing is they are so not Hard Rock.


Onto the Killers. Amazing, wonderful, better than last time. They played for an Incredible 2 hours! And I have to say that Brandon Flowers killed it! I am a victim for the Killers music. Some of the songs even sounded better than on the CD. "Jenny" was my favorite performance which shocks me since my fav song is Mr, Brightside.


After the concert we thought we would save some money and just drive home. Seeing as the Killers didn't even get onstage until 10:30 our time we weren't out of the concert till 12:30. Dreading the after concert rush in the parking garage we hurried to our car and were out of the garage in 5 min! Luck was shining on us! Out of Vegas in record time and past Glendale and then....we come to a stand still right on the hill by Lake Mead. Needless to say I took a 40 min. nap in the car as well as Nick and we rolled into our house at 3:30. It was a long night but well worth it!

All I know is that the kids had great fun with their aunts! Bob and Mia they played and then they went to the Rodeo with Keena. Thanks again Sista Friends!

Where Was I?

So here we are the 15th of September and I have posted in weeks! On the 1st I was getting ready to post and haven't tried since. What have I been up to? Not much sadly. Nick works gets home and it's off to work I go. The kids have been great! Ryan started Kindergarten! Drew is in Preschool! Liv and I stay home and play. Life is good.

This week it's Favortie Vacation Spot. Well so far my favorite is Victoria, British Columbia. LOVED IT! I would go back in a heartbeat!

Where To Begin

Well this has been a busy couple of weeks! First Nick and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary! Crazy! I love that man with all my heart! There is no one else I would want to spend the rest of my eternity with. So in honor of our time we went to dinner at Chili's and then kicked off our Sunday shoes and saw Footloose at Tuachaun. It was amazing! Nick and I had the funnest time laughing and hanging out together.

Well the next morning was my dreaded 25th birthday. It actually wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I still feel old but life is still great. The Earth wasn't thrown off its axis and the planets didn't align to destroy me so all in all it was a good day. I went to breakfast with some of my family at Rise and Dine which was pretty darn good which was followed by a massage. Later I went to a movie with Michelle and Jamy which is always fun. Malea made me a WICKED lemon Pie which I devoured with great pleasure! Thanks to all for a great day!

Happy Birthday my Livvy Love!

Liv is the sweetest, darling, spoiled little girl. She is pretty and petite and yet can scrap with the boys and hold her own. She loves to explore and gets frustrated easily and yet is entranced by the simplest things. We love you Liv!

Party All Week Long!

It's inevitable...my baby girl is turning 1 on the 29th. Since I'm lame and working on her actual day we had a get together with the McArthurs and boy are they a fun group! We had cake and ice cream and played an intriguing game of Balderdash. Thanks for the good times!

The boys had such a great time with Josh (with only 1 brawl). This is on his last day here. They sure were sad to see him go. We miss you Josh!

Oh What A Day

Today is a day I'm thankful is over!

This morning Ryan decided it would be funny if he punched my nephew in the face. This resulted in a huge bloody mess and angry parents. Josh was fine thankfully but now I feel completly awful! I was inside and heard him crying...when I come out Ryan tells me not to worry that it's just Strawberries. STRAWBERRIES!! I was fuming!

Thankfully I went to work. Later I'm home chillin on the couch and Drew comes in to tell me his tummy is sick. We sit and chill for a few minutes and I get him a drink of water and lay him down. All of a sudden he is writhing in pain and throws up all over his bed. I pick him up trying to hurry him to the bathroom when he projectiles all over the floor in his room and then in the bathroom. Poor kid. After that he is just fine.

Well the fuss Drew was making of course wakes Ryan up and he gets out of bed and looks at me. He tells me his pants are wet. Crap. Well we were already giving Drew a bath might as well throw Ryan in there as well.

On the bright side Liv slept through it all. Let's just say I'm glad the day is done!
