Tailgating For Twilight

The movie was ok but the company sure was fun. Keena, Malea, and I had a tailgate party right before the movie. Malea made some wicked Pumpkin Cake while I opted for some Chinese. We sat on Keena's car enjoying the sunset. Later we met up with Bob, Aunt Elaine and my friends Hanna and Jason. Fun night!

Candy Turkeys

For this Thanksgiving I was looking for a healthy alternative so I found these fun little turkeys to make. All you need are:

Oreos
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Whoppers
Candy Corn
Icing

Pretty nutritious. I thought so too. The boys loved eating them and Liv even tried to get in on some of the action.

The Mystery of the...

So this past weekend Ryan found some Play-Doh in Grandpa McArthur's weight bag (it's for his knee). Well I saw Ryan playing with it and what I thought was him putting the horrible item away. Well the next day he had it on his sock...huh? I searched my carpet looking for the spot that is making messes on his socks. No Doh. Oh well it must be at Grandma's. The next day we go down to grandma's and when he takes his shoes off there is more doh on his socks! What the! I searched mom's house but never found the spot. Today the same thing happened. I found the source. It's in here...

Apparently the right place to put Play-Doh is in your shoe. Yeah...no more doh in this house.

Blue Bunny

Mia and Bob had a Inspiration concert last night and I was able to go. I love going to the Tabernacle especially when great music is floating through the rafters. This was no exception. They did amazing and brought a great mood. Afterwards my parents, Elaine, and the boys walked to Scoops Cafe and indulged on some Blue Bunny ice cream. Yay!

One of Those Days..

You know what I mean. I wanted nothing to do with today but life as a mom doesn't stop. So in order to deal we had a pajama day today. I didn't even attempt at getting my kids dressed let alone myself. I did gusto enough energy to take a picture though. Ryan was mad at me, he kept telling me it was daytime and that we need to wear our regular shirts when the sun is out. Smart kid. I actually had to argue with him to stay in his pajamas. Wow. Drew was all for pajama and movie day. Well the day is over and I'm getting sick. Joy.

Congrats Celeste & James! They are due April 11th and couldn't be more excited!

She's Growing Too Fast!

Check out the Baby Blues!!

Happy Veterans Day

This morning we braved the chilly air (for a desert girl) to go support our Veterans. I remember as a young child being dragged to the parade to watch my grandpas march. Sadly this year there was only 1 WWII Vet left. I love this country and all it stands for! Thank You Veterans!

Is It Just Me? Pt. 2

Why is it that when I'm in the bathroom terrible things happen. The blood curdling scream always happen when I either have shampoo in my hair or can't leave my friend "john". Yesterday it was a jar of spaghetti sauce. I heard a crash and Ryan softly pouting. I was going through all the things in the pantry that would make such a noise...never came up with spaghetti sauce.
Needless to say I come out and follow the spaghetti sauce footprints all throughout the house. I wish I would have taken pictures but I don't think of camera's while seeing red.
All is well now and Ryan is still apologizing. Liv on the other hand is expecting an apology from me for interrupting her feeding to clean of Prego. (It's so nice saying Prego and not having used as a term of pregnancy).

Is It Just Me?

I want to move to Arizona. Not really, but this time change is killing me! I'm up at 5:30 feeding the baby but not really tired since in my reality it's 6:30. Ryan rolls out of bed around 7 usually which means 6 now. I won't even go into my nights. I hate daylight savings.

Mustard Kind of Life

Nick's Grandpa was married on Oct. 29th. While I went to Thriller with the girls Nick braved the wedding with Liv and Drew in tow (Ryan was in PV). He said it was a nice service other than Liv's occasional grunts as she is doing her business. After the ceremony he is chatting with a couple who happened to have a baby born the same day as Liv. Nick's stepmom comes to take the baby from Nick and as she pulls her away this is what they saw....

Nick was rushed to the Mother's lounge by the mom he was chatting with and cleaned up. I'm sad I wasn't there to witness this story in person, and yet I know if I would have been there that would be my shirt in the picture. Sorry love! (BTW this is her first official "blow out")

I...

I am... in awe of where this year has gone!
I think... way too much when it's bedtime.
I know... I have the greatest family.
I want... to be home with my husby and kids.
I have... tired eyes
I wish ... that I weren't so stressed
I hate... toe cleavage
I miss... Ryan and Josh playing together. They are best friends.
I fear... losing a kid or my husby!
I feel... sleepy
I hear... lame music at work
I smell... a European mans BO. Not cool.
I wonder... when I won't be so stressed about things
I regret... not having a wedding cake.
I love... Nick, my kids, thunderstorms, and cotton candy ice cream from Blue Bunny
I always... kiss Nick goodbye in the morning...even if I'm not fully aware that I am.
I believe... in a thing called love. Just listen to the rhythm of my heart.
I don't always... have patience
I win... at tune master
I lose... my patience far too often. I'm working on that though.
I never... eat at Carl's Jr. The commercials make me want to vomit.
I listen... to music always!
I am scared of... losing my kids or husband.
I read... less often than usual. Life is just busy.
I am happy about... Life.
