We drove for 12 hours yesterday so we could make it home to our beds. This trip was AMAZING! I look back at the past 3 weeks and wonder how we did it and with so few frustrations! Yesterday was the only day that the boys really got in trouble so we were blessed!
I've been going through all the pictures and am sad because I really didn't get as many as I thought I had. Oh well hopefully Mom and Dad got some areas that I missed.
It's bitter sweet to be home now. Now I have to get back to real life. Now I have to know what day it is and what needs to be done. I love vacation, and this one I have loved the most. My kids grew closer to my family and to each other.
Here are some pictures from when Nick joined us for the last half!

Niagara Falls is breathtaking! We were able to view it from both American and Canadian sides and each has such amazing views! We rode the Maid of the Mist which takes you right next to the Horseshoe Falls. It was spectacular! Liv moaned like a cat in a car but she endured it well. The boys and Nick ventured down to the Wind Cave which takes you right up to Bridal Veil Fall. There were so many activities that got you up close and personal with the falls. I would go again in a heartbeat! I must see for everyone!

Palmyra, NY. After Niagara we went to the beautiful town where Joseph Smith received the plates and had so many sacred experiences. The most was in the Sacred Grove. You felt the peace and love there. My boys weren't even rambunctious even though we had been in the car for 40+ hours so far. Truly a sacred place!

While in Ohio we visited Kirtland (picture above) Sandusky, which has the best Amusement Park in the country, and Columbus. In Columbus we went to a Chocolate Factory, COSI (a children's museum also the best in the country), and we visited my brother and his family.

Nauvoo, IL. Wonderful place! We could have spent another day there. I love it. The boys got to go on and Ox Wagon ride, Ryan got the horseshoe in the Blacksmiths, we visited the brick makers, and so much more.

We stopped in Independence, MO to see the Liberty Jail and the visitor's center. I had the boys pose in front of the Community Of Christ Temple.

This is an art project where they make these huge Van Gogh paintings and put them on 7 different continents. Well one just happens to be in Goodland, KS and so we made a quick photo stop. It really is huge and beautiful!

This is just one picture of our "Nightmare Motel". I swear Nick and I were both so freaked out that neither of us slept. There was blood on the walls, holes punched in quite a few walls and doors, and an Emergency Escape Window. Did I mention the bloody mattresses. It was in the middle of nowhere about 100 miles East of Denver. I have never been so scared to sleep in my life! Nick slept on the bed by the window with Ryan and Drew and I slept on the other just so we could feel like we were protecting the kids. I'll have to do another post of the pictures from the room...it was truly terrifying!

This was at a fun Dinosaur Museum in Grand Junction, CO. It had animatronic dinosaurs, Earthquake simulator, and of course skeletons. The boys had a lot of fun. Here they are digging for bones.
