5K Walk

On Saturday we were able to join a 5k walk for troops. The boys were amazing! They walked the entire way! Good job guys!

Disneyland 2010

We were able to surprise the kids with a trip to Disneyland this past week. We left Sunday afternoon telling them we were going to Las Vegas to see Nick's mom. Well turned out she had to work and so we stopped at Caesar's Palace and watched the scary statue show. None of the kids were impressed so we took off for "home" but really were headed to our hotel. Lucky for us we were delayed for an hour and a half right outside of Primm (still have no idea why traffic was stopped). We arrived in California and fell asleep.

When everyone woke up the next morning we asked them what they wanted to do that day. Swimming was the top of their list until we suggested the happiest place on earth. Ryan's eyes go wide and a smile stretches ear to ear. He couldn't even speak. Loved it. Drew was still going through his wake up routine so he just nodded along but once we got to the park he was bouncing around everywhere.

Our hotel was only about a quarter mile from the park so we walked over there and hit up Disneyland first. Fantasyland is so classic! I love it! Snow White, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Alice.

Ryan was brave enough to try Splash Mountain (his favorite), Haunted Mansion (my favorite), Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Drew loved the Winnie the Pooh ride and the Heimlich Caterpillar Train ride. Liv loved Dumbo.

The days flew by without too many tantrums and the boys were able to meet Mickey (Liv's Favorite), Goofy, Pluto (Drew's Favorite), Cruella (My Favorite), Incredibles, Lilo, Mushu, Frozone (Ryan's Favorite).

Ryan was picked to be in the Jedi Training Academy and was able to fight Darth Maul. He did so well!

The boys were also to dance with Pinocchio in the parade and join the Conga Line.

After the wonderful time at Disney we went to the beach and enjoyed watching the waves. It was still cool and the water was cold but Liv stood in the oncoming waves and sang and talked to the ocean. She must have been a mermaid in a previous life!

For the past week or so Drew has been coming out of his room around 11 or 12 crying about being scared. Well last night was no exception. I calmly carry him back into his room, sing a song and say a prayer. Trying to be as quiet as possible I start heading back into the living room when I hear a weird growl come from my bedroom behind me. I glance back and see this mass coming towards me. I can't even scream I just reach out and grab it by the throat and start squeezing. Nick starts to laugh and drops the blanket he was holding over his head. I was TERRIFIED!! All I could do was laugh because I was so scared. My consolation prize is knowing that I just might be able to defend myself if something ever happened. I also had my hands turned to claws ready to gouge out some eyes!

Now I have opened up Pandora's box because it is Nick's new mission to scare me so bad that I just might hurt him. Good thing I love him!
