Random I Know

Train Horns

Created by Train Horns

Since this is my year of the big 25 birthday I thought this was interesting. I heard it but it wasn't too strong. Ryan was sitting on my lap and the moment I pushed the button to hear it he stiffens and is looking around.

"What is that noise? What is that noise?" I turned off the tone and he just looks at me. Interesting. It really bugged him.

8 Year Streak Broken

Well I'm sad to say I have received my first speeding ticket ever! It only took me 8 years but by golly I did it right...I was going 50 in a 30 by an elementary school none the less.

Thankfully he was understanding since I was just coming down a hill...so he only cited me for 10 over.

Nick had me sweating bullets by telling me I could get a reckless driving citation. I had all my kids in the car and was freaking out. The cop didn't help by yelling at me to get out of the car. I thought I had a warrant or something. Nope just wanted me to come sign the paper.

So am I a reformed speeder? Probably not. I was born with a lead foot. I can't help it.

San Francisco

I arrived home last night at 1:40am just in time to see Nick for about 10 minutes before he left for work. I hadn't seen him in a week and now I'm 4 more days without him...it's sad.

San Francisco really was a treat though! Thanks Keena, Lanelle, and Leanne for the fun trip.

We flew in Friday at 8pm and went to dinner at Olive Garden and then found our hotel. Next morning we were off to the Pier 39, Lombard Street, Haight & Ashbury, and of course the one and only Golden Gate Bridge. It was beautiful!!

That night we ate at a diner called Mel's. It sure makes a mean Club Sandwich. After a great dinner we were off to Wicked.

Let me just say it was AMAZING!!! I would go again in a heartbeat.

Sunday we went to church and the Oakland temple. The rain was pouring and it was beautiful.

Alcatraz came next and absolutely loved it! I'm definately taking my little family out again.

I was glad to come home to sweet sleeping babies. Thanks Mom and Dad for taking care of them on Sunday night!

Ryan's Post

After seeing Drew's post Ryan wanted one as well. I asked him what he wanted it to say and this was his reply.

"Just say I Love You".

Well Ryan I do Love You! More than you'll ever know.

P.S.
Thanks for potty training Drew. That scored major points!

HOORAY!!!

It's Official!! Drew is fully potty trained!!
It was actually very easy.

Step 1.
Ryan takes Drew into the bathroom and shows him how it is done.

Step 2.
Ryan has Drew try.

Step 3.
Give Drew his choice in underwear.

Step 4.
Drew has Ryan join him a few times just to make sure he is doing it right.

Step 5.
Done.

This is one of those moments in a mom's job where the reward is tremendous!! I am so thankful for Ryan who gave Drew the confidence to try.

He has only 1 accident in a whole week!! That time he got poop on his hands and it scared him so badly that he was in hysterics. Well it hasn't happened again!

We are off to WalMart (his favorite store) to get him his big treasure for being trained for a whole week! I think it's going to be a Leapster like Ryan but I'll let him pick. I just asked him what he wants it to be and he said "A little Vacuum." Hmm...we'll see how it goes.

Now I"m off to San Francisco with Keena to see Wicked! I'm thrilled!
